I'm actually a pretty sensitive person and a lot of people don't know that. I tend to put up this front that I don't care and I will only let a few people see that sensitive, vulnerable side of me. I have an adorable new puppy named Spencer Koda and he's the biggest pain in the ass. He's real lucky that he's cute. I only like chapstick when it's the kind that makes my lips tingle/burn otherwise I don't use it. I hope to one day own my own record label and produce music.

I tend to be a little shy around new people, but it wears off quickly. I'm fairly creative and spend a bit too much time daydreaming occasionally. I'm not much of a thrill seeker, but I'm not completely against trying new things. I just want someone who will accept me for all my little quirks.

Hi, I recently moved to Columbia and I'm looking to get out and meet new people. I'm very adventurous and will try anything once (yes anything). I'm a college graduate (psychology) and I'm currently in the Army.

I like to travel when I can, especially to Asheville, my little hippie mountain town getaway! Of course, the usuals - Charleston and Savannah. I spent a summer in Portland a few years ago, and I would love a chance to go back or just move there permanently. Or to San Francisco. Or a wine and food tour of France and Italy. I could definitely eat my way across Europe. I want to go all over Europe and Morocco and India and Thailand....ok everywhere. Someday!

I've always considered my intellect to be my defining characteristic. I excelled in school, went to an Ivy League university, and today in my roll as a teacher I love constantly pushing my bright students to expand and embrace the power of their brains. Though I am proud of my mind, I have to acknowledge that spending my first twenty or so years for my academic successes kept me from pursuing other sources of self esteem, in particular romance. Unfortunately, the inertia of those first decades has defined the last, and I find myself staring down my mid thirties wanting more than a satisfying job and an impressive permanent record.

The idea took off right from the start and from January 2008 to October 2008 my Sunday School class as well as members of other Adult Sunday School Classes did makeovers in 2 rooms in 3 of the cottages. Seeing the joy and Excitement coming from the children gave me a great feeling inside. Hugs were exchanged as well. We still stay involved with them celebrating birthdays. It is so the seed is implanted in them where they know that they are loved.

I am deathly afraid of tornados, snakes, roaches, wasps, spiders, and dying. I hate making important phone calls... or phone calls in general really... I'd much rather text. I hate being wet. I hate being cold. I clean my ears with a q tip everyday after my shower. I'm not a big fan of vegetables. I believe in ghosts. I also hate: overly hyped up movies, wrestling, baseball, tea, hot drinks, mean people, rednecks, hunters, peta, thugs, dirty house, closemindedness, people who don't tip, bigots, ann coulter, unnecessary war, racism, preformed opinions, and stupidity.

To give a little more insight into who i am, I thought a little more info about what kind of person i am, is in store.
First off....I absolutely love to be on the water. Yea i like to fish. I have a lot of fun with fishing buddy and my dad! Blame dad for being gone every weekend during the spring. Honestly though, it's not about the fishing. More like spending quality time with my best friends. The rest of the summer is spent having fun with my daughter and friends. This is something i feel is more important than my fishing trips! My daughter never will forget the great times we've had! EVER!!!!!

I am both a smoker and a drinker, but have no problems with refraining from both if those around me prefer. I'm no Brad Pitt (though he is my favorite actor). Now what I consider to be the good. I am an avid reader, primarily of fiction but I've been known to enjoy a good book on philosophy, physics, or religion from time to time. I am not a religious person. I don't mean that as to say that I will not discuss religion, but I am firm in my own beliefs. I consider myself to have a great sense of humor, though perhaps a little odd. I do play video games (I'm just a big kid, like any man), and am an active member of an online gaming community. I believe that curiosity and an artistic nature are the foundations of intelligence. I write poetry, design websites, and write really long summaries that most people would probably never read.

Outgoing: I will do what I need to do to showcase my strengths. Notice how I say strengths. I have no problem embarrassing myself when everyone knows the act is a joke or harmless, but I will not jeopardize my future. However, don't get me wrong...I get RIDICULOUSLY shy when I meet new people and I am alone or if I have to focus on other things such as work. Warming up to the people around me does take a considerably shorter time than most other people.

Ambitious: Damn, I do not think I could put into words how BADLY I want to succeed in life. I moved away from my home in Wisconsin to South Carolina to help me on my way. I have put so much effort and hard work into my academics and professional life...I have an impeccable work ethic. However, I think I can say that I've learned how to balance my work and play.

Creative: If you ask most of the people who I grew up with what I'd do with my life they'd probably say something artsy. I did everything that involved music for my entire childhood (and well), but unfortunately had to give it up to focus on college (and getting a job). However, I never gave up dancing, which I did for three years at USC at Gamecock Football games. I know for sure I want to work with young dancers as a side job after starting my career.

Independent: I left home as soon as possible. Is it hard living on my own? Yes...especially when more than a vast majority of the people I know don't have to worry about tuition, rent, phone bill, insurance, etc etc. I do, I have two jobs on top of an overloaded school schedule but i need the two jobs to go to school. No one's every gifted me anything that I've wanted. I've had to earn every single thing, and now I more than enjoy working hard for what I need.

Competitive: Maybe it has something to do with being a twin, but I always want to be right and i always want to win. I want someone to compete with...not a bad thing at all in my book.

Realistic: I'm not a pessimist, I'm definitely not an optimist, but damn...I try to see how it really is.

Blunt: After I see how it really is, you better believe I'll let you know.

Awkward: Don't even try to beat me. Awkward now finds me, I have a magnet. Please ask me about some sweet awkward moments.

Looking for a laugh: Guess what stupid thing I did today? Yea I'll tell you EVERY single last one, gory, unnecessary, graphic and all. All at my expense. Why? Cause I love to laugh and I love it when I can make others laugh...I said i was awkward, why not capitalize on it!?!

Impatient: So so so so so impatient. I have to have everything then and there. Why? Who knows...Bad quality?? Maybe, but it's helped gain a lot in my life...not necessarily all the right things, but hey. People in the end usually are the ones who end up making me impatient.

Unique: I love unique. I love different. I love the fact that I am half white/ half black and can just be my own person.

Intelligent: Man I say some stupid things sometimes, and I get really nervous when I talk to other intelligent people. But I know, because of where I've gotten in life and how hard I've worked, that I'm well studied.

Insomniac: I sleep horribly, and I think that a racing mind pretty much describes me to a tee, and therefore being an insomniac has become who I am.

Dorky: I burst out into song more than once in a while (My life has been described more than once as a musical). Half the time the songs are ones from the camp I worked at a few years back. I'll dress up when no one does. And 8 times out of 10 when you look at me I'll be making some hideous face.

Vulgar: Yea, I've really tried to keep the profanity to a minimum. Really tried. But I figured if I took it all out how would anyone get a true sense of who I really am?
